Envirothon
Southeast Tennessee Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) Regional Envirothon is a hands-on environmental and natural resources competition for high school students that promotes problem-solving through STEM-based learning and outdoor field experiences. Students explore key topics such as soils and land use, aquatic ecology, forestry, wildlife, and current environmental issues. The program builds critical thinking skills while fostering a lifelong commitment to environmental stewardship, sustainability, and agriculture. Students may advance from the regional competition to the state level and even nationals.
Arbor Day Celebration
Celebrate Arbor Day with us at our community tree giveaway! Join the Soil Conservation District for a day dedicated to trees, conservation, and stewardship of our local environment. Attendees can pick up FREE tree seedlings (while supplies last) and learn about proper tree planting methods and healthy trimming techniques. Bring a friend, ask questions, and take home a tree to plant and enjoy for years to come. We will have Bald Cypress, Native Sweet Pecan, and Water Oak seedlings available.
Monthly Meeting
Our Board of Supervisors meets monthly on the third Wednesday of each month, at 9:00 AM. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
